Driving people out

We recently got our assessment for 2013 and it was doubled. We have lived in North Fayette for 47 years and were never delinquent in paying our taxes. But now due to our taxes, we have to put our home on the market to sell.

None of the homes on our street has been raised as much as ours.

We raised our children in Allegheny County and were looking forward to living our last years in our home in North Fayette; instead we will have to move to North Carolina.

We have tried to get our representative, Mark Mustio, to do something and also John Pippy; they have done nothing for us.

We need someone who will fight for the taxpayers.

We appealed the assessment and they lowered it by $5,000. We hired a lawyer and appealed it a second time and they added the $5,000 back and it's the same as when we started.

Will some of our politicians please quit lying to us and please help the taxpayers instead of business? So if we can sell our house we will be moving to North Carolina.
