Crossing off GM

General Motors CEO Mary Barra appeared before Congress this week and professed to know nothing about problems with GM cars that cost the lives of about a dozen people. The committee should have reminded Ms. Barra that she’d been with the automaker since 1980. For her to claim personal ignorance is laughable. She was either clueless during the past 30 years or complicit.

We are planning to buy a new car this year. Ms. Barra’s pathetic performance has made it easy that we won’t be visiting any GM showrooms.
