Turnpike truck fire backs up traffic near Monroeville interchange

A tractor-trailer truck fire on the Pennsylvania Turnpike this afternoon has backed up traffic near the Monroeville interchange.
A westbound lane of the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Pittsburgh/Monroeville interchange remains closed after a truck fire this afternoon, PennDOT officials said.
Clean up of the crash continues.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transporation warns motorists eastbound on the Parkway East (Interstate-376) that they may encounter traffic congestion near the turnpike Exit 85 off-ramp due to the incident.
It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.
