Inspections may close lanes on several local highways

Overhead sign inspections will cause temporary lane closures on Interstate 79, the Parkway North and Route 28 today and Friday, weather permitting, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The closures are possible from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today on I-79 between Bridgeville and the exit to the outbound Parkway West and during the same hours on Friday on the Parkway North between Hazlett Street and I-79 and outbound Route 28 from Millvale to Etna.

Also, inspections may cause lane closures on the ramp from the Fort Duquesne Bridge to the Fort Pitt Bridge from 9 p.m. today to 2 a.m. Friday and on the Parkway East bridge over William Penn Highway in Monroeville from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
