A live debate between Democratic candidates in Pittsburgh’s race for mayor will be televised live April 19 at 7 p.m. on WTAE-TV. The debate, hosted by the League of Women Voters as well as WTAE, will be held at the station’s studios.
Mayor Bill Peduto, City Councilwoman Darlene Harris and the Rev. John Welch are among the participants. The hour-long debate is scheduled to be broadcast commercial-free and moderated by “Chronicle” host Sally Wiggin.
Panelists are Chris Potter, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s political reporter, WTAE-TV news reporter Bob Mayo, KQV-AM reporter Elaine Effort and Brianna Horan of the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh (LWVGP).
The debate will be simulcast on thisTV and rebroadcast April 22 at 5 p.m. It also streams live via WTAE.com and the station’s app.
