Charity events

■ Latrobe Area Hospital Aid Society is selling Aunt Carol's Gourmet Dips from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the Little Shop corridor on the first floor of Latrobe Hospital. The cost per package is $4, three for $10 or seven for $20. Proceeds benefit service projects on behalf of Excela Health. Call 724-689-0206.

Classes/workshops

■ Allegheny Valley Hospital is sponsoring a two-part Heartsaver First Aid and CPR/AED class on Saturday at its Destination Wellness health resource center, the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills, 590 Pittsburgh Mills Circle, Frazer. Part one, which covers basic Heartsaver first aid, is from 9 a.m. to noon, with part two, including adult, child and infant CPR, choking relief and automated external defibrillator usage, from 1 to 4 p.m. After completion of skills testing, a certification card valid for two years will be given. The cost is $35 per person for each part, $50, for both. To register, call 724-274-5202.

Support groups

■ Self Help Group Network, a service of PA 2-1-1 Southwest, provides a database of support groups. Call 412-255-1155.

■ Family Hospice is sponsoring a support group "Grief in the Holidays" from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at UPMC Passavant, McCandless. Registration is required. For more information and to register, call 412-572-8829.
