Jewish Federation to host forum with PPS superintendent, Pittsburgh Promise head

The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh today announced it will host a back-to-school forum with Linda Lane, superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools, and Saleem Ghubril, executive director of the Pittsburgh Promise.

The forum will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Jewish Community Center in Squirrel Hill.

In a news release, federation president and CEO Jeffrey Finkelstein, who will moderate, said, “At this time each summer, families begin to focus on how changes in school policies, facilities and technology will shape the coming school year. Dr. Lane will provide insight on relevant changes, discuss how the schools work with the Pittsburgh Promise and answer attendees’ questions.”
