Ringgold teachers again vote down fact-finder's report

The Ringgold Education Association tonight, for the second time, unanimously voted to reject the recommendations of a fact-finder's report, sending the district and union representing 215 teachers back to the bargaining table, according to a union press release.

Members previously voted to authorize a strike if necessary, said Fritz Fekete, PSEA field program communications consultant.

The fact-finding report is available on the district's website. Administrators could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.

The previous four-year contract expired last year, and the two parties have been negotiating a new contract since January 2013, Mr. Fekete said.
