The board of Pittsburgh Public Schools tonight approved a change in the student calendar.

April 11 will be a full day of school rather than a half day.

Finals for seniors will be later than originally scheduled. They now are set for May 30, June 2 and June 3. This will result in June 6 being the last day for seniors.

The board also approved making May 16 the 16th annual Take A Father to School Day. Board member Mark Brentley Sr., who started the day, said this year will have a focus on men's health.
