A Sewickley Academy teacher has been fired for what school administrators said was a violation of the private school’s code of employee behavior, and the administrators said they had contacted federal authorities about him.
The school did not outline specific allegations against the teacher, who was fired Friday by head of school Kolia O’Connor, according to a statement provided by academy spokeswoman Mandi Semple.
School administrators said they immediately contacted the U.S. attorney’s office, which referred them to an FBI task force. The Allegheny County district attorney’s office also is a member of the task force.
“We are in the process of reviewing certain materials provided to the task force by the school administration,” district attorney spokesman Mike Manko said in a statement.
Neither he nor a spokeswoman for the FBI would elaborate. No charges have been filed.
