Hopewell -- Christ Alliance Church, 1881 Brodhead Road, will be conducting vacation Bible school with the theme Come to Rocky Point Lighthouse for children through fifth grade from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday and 10:45 to noon Sunday. Green Tree -- The Green Tree Public Library, 10 W. Manilla Ave., will host "The Six Facts of Fear: How Fear Adversely Affects People's Lives, Business and Career" at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Presenter will be Alexandra Sabina of TenMinuteVirtues Mentoring Program. Registration: 412-921-9292.


Moon -- The Moon Township Public Library, suite 100, 1700 Beaver Grade Road, will sponsor a performance of Thornton Wilder's play "Our Town" at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday as part of its Groundbreaking Reads series. The library is taking orders for the book. Information: 412-269-0334.


Moon -- The Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2013 Women's Interest Network event, Women In Non-Profits, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Thursday at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 8402 University Blvd. The panel comprises Marsha Blanco, President/CEO, Achieva Pittsburgh; Scott Leff, associate director of the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University; Patrice Matamoros, race director, Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon Inc.; and Maggie Withrow, executive director, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Pittsburgh. The event will also offer a purse auction, which benefits the educational initiatives of the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber Enterprise Foundation. The cost is $45, $35 for members. Green Tree -- The Green Tree Recreation and Community Activities Board will sponsor a Green Tree Senior Citizens Day, featuring a catered lunch and raffles, from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Municipal Center Park, 10 W. Manilla Ave. In case of rain or inclement weather, the event will move indoors. It is free for borough residents, $5 for nonresidents; advance registration is required by Monday.
