Police investigate robbery, shooting in Sheraden

Pittsburgh police are investigating the shooting of a man during a robbery attempt Wednesday evening in Sheraden.

The man reported that he was walking in the 3100 block of Landis Street about 6 p.m. when two armed men approached and demanded money, according to a Zone 6 citizen alert.

The man ran away and said both men shot at him, police said.

The man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital. Police described his condition Wednesday as stable.

Police ask anyone with information to call the city robbery squad at 412-323-7152. Callers may remain anonymous.
