Here are state Senate races that are uncontested in the April 24 primary, according to the state election bureau.

39th District: Sen. Kim Ward, R-Hempfield, Westmoreland County. Kristine Melville of Derry Borough is seeking the Democratic nomination.

41st: Sen. Don White, R-Indiana, Indiana County.

43rd: Sen. Jay Costa, D-Forest Hills. Allegheny County.

45th: Sen. James Brewster, D-McKeesport, Allegheny County.

Here are uncontested state House seats:

Allegheny County

19th District: Rep. Jake Wheatley, D-Hill District.

21st: Rep. Dominic Costa, D-Stanton Heights.

27th: Rep. Daniel Deasy, D-Westwood.

28th: Rep. Mike Turzai, R-Bradford Woods.

30th: Rep. Randy Vulakovich, R-Shaler; Democratic ballot: David Tusick, Fox Chapel.

32nd: Rep. Anthony DeLuca, D-Penn Hills; Republican ballot: Lawrence Paladin, Penn Hills.

33rd: Rep. Frank Dermody, D-Oakmont; Republican ballot: Gerry Vaerewyck, West Deer.

34th: Rep. Paul Costa, D-Wilkins.

35th: Rep. Marc Gergely, D-White Oak.

36th: Rep. Harry Readshaw, D-Carrick.

38th: Rep. Bill Kortz, D-Dravosburg.

40th: Rep. John Maher, R-Upper St. Clair.

42nd: Rep. Matt Smith, D-Mt. Lebanon.
