A four-alarm blaze Saturday night destroyed a building that houses apartment units and a six-pack shop in Washington, Pa.
One firefighter was taken to Washington Hospital with an eye injury. No other injuries were reported.
The fire started around 4:40 p.m. at the building, in the 600 block of Chestnut Street, according to emergency dispatchers.
At one point, the blaze was so intense it was visible at the emergency operations center a mile away, dispatchers said.
The building houses several second-story apartments and Gabby's Quick 6 shop.
The Red Cross is assisting 13 residents who were displaced by the fire.
