The Vincentian Regency nursing home announced Wednesday that it will stop running its traditional nursing operations and give patients a seven-month window to move to other facilities.

The McCandless nursing home stopped admitting new patients this summer while its parent company reviewed long-term options for the facility, which operators said needed "potentially substantial" renovations.

Robin Weber, spokeswoman for the Vincentian Collaborative System, said administrators expect the patients' transition to be completed by June 30, 2013.

She said all employees will be affected in some way, though she would not specify whether any might be laid off.
