After having been shot tonight, a man walked into the North Side station to report it, police said.

The man told police he had been shot around 6:30 p.m. in front of a store on the 1600 block of Brighton Road, between California-Kirkbride and Central Northside.

Zone 1 Sgt. Robert Jurich said at that location, police found a black Dodge Durango with bullet holes.

Witnesses told police a white SUV sped away from the scene, and police later found a vehicle matching that description with bullet holes on Overlook Street. In a search of nearby woods, police found a gun, Sgt. Jurich said.

The victim is in good condition at Allegheny General Hospital, he said.
