Pittsburgh police are investigating the shooting death of a woman in her 20s in Homewood.
Police Lt. Daniel Herrmann said the woman, who was not identified, was found lying face down at the end of Hallam Street shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday. A man driving by noticed the woman's body and called police. Homicide detectives arrived at the scene and found the woman had been shot.
A neighbor told police he had heard gunshots in the area around 3:45 p.m.
Lt. Herrmann said the victim is described as a black woman, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. She had a tattoo on her back that displayed Asian symbols. She was wearing blue denim pants with rhinestones on the front and rear pockets, a gray shirt and sandals.
