Two men were arrested this morning after Allegheny County sheriff's deputies spotted them in a car driving erratically on the Parkway East near the Boulevard of the Allies exit.

Deputies said Kevin Arenth, 19, of Plum, and Alexander Maiullo, 24, of Mt. Lebanon, appeared to be "very disoriented" when deputies pulled them over, Lt. Jack Kearney said.

When the driver, Mr. Arenth, leaned over to grab his registration and other information, deputies spotted a bag with white pills sitting in the car's cupholder. Deputies searched the car and found Xanax pills, a "large amount" of marijuana and a "sizeable" amount of money, Lt. Kearney said. Mr. Arenth and Mr. Maiullo "could barely stand up due to incoherence" caused by an "unknown substance," the lieutenant said.

Both men were taken to the Allegheny County Jail, where they are awaiting arraignment tonight. Mr. Arenth will face charges of driving under the influence, careless driving, prohibited acts, drug possession and possesion with intent to deliver, according to court records. Mr. Maiullo will face charges of possesion and prohibited acts.
