In the colder months, there isn't much work for a construction worker. A stay-at-home mother of four and wife of a self-employed construction worker wrote to Goodfellows for help this season.

Business is very slow and they do not have money for toys this Christmas. The oldest of the children is 5 years old. "If possible, we would really appreciate if you could help our family this Christmas," the mother wrote.

"Our children are our world. We just want to see smiles on their faces on Christmas morning."
