Here's a list of additional Downtown ramps affected by the closing of the outbound Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel:
The Stanwix Street entrance ramp to the outbound Fort Pitt Bridge is closed.
The Stanwix Street exit ramp from the inbound Parkway East is closed. Grant Street is the last exit to Downtown. Drivers can stay on the Parkway East to the Fort Duquesne Bridge/Interstate 279 north exit leading to the North Shore, Route 65, the West End Bridge, Route 28 and I-279 north in a single lane protected by concrete barriers.
The Grant Street entrance ramp toward the Fort Pitt Bridge is closed. Use Fort Pitt Boulevard westbound to the Fort Duquesne Bridge and the West End detour.
An exit ramp will be maintained to Grant Street for Parkway West traffic coming inbound through the Fort Pitt Tunnel and across the bridge. Inbound traffic will be switched to the outbound tunnel at 10 p.m. Friday.
Fort Pitt Boulevard eastbound will be closed from the Smithfield Street Bridge to Grant Street this week to accommodate conversion of the Grant Street/I-279 entrance ramp from outbound to inbound.
The Wood Street entrance ramp is open to the Parkway East outbound toward Monroeville.
The Grant Street entrance ramp is open to the Parkway East outbound toward Monroeville.
The new I-279 connector ramp utilizing part of Fort Pitt Boulevard from the Fort Duquesne Bridge to the Parkway East/Interstate 376 east toward Monroeville will remain open.
