Four wounded in Monessen shooting

Westmoreland County authorities said four people were wounded in a shooting early this morning in Monessen.

A supervisor of the Westmoreland 911 center said the shooting took place at 1:41 a.m. in the 400 block of Chestnut Street.

Police said two people were flown by helicopter to Pittsburgh hospitals and two others were taken by ambulance.

Their conditions were not released.
