Police identify man found in vehicle submerged in creek

Allegheny County homicide detectives were investigating the discovery late this morning of the body of 62-year-old McKees Rocks man, Frank Cieslak, in a vehicle submerged in Chartiers Creek.

The Allegheny County Emergency Operations Center was notified of the car in the creek off Creek Road at 11:21 a.m. McKees Rocks police were dispatched and they then summoned the homicide squad, the EOC reported.

No further details were immediately available. Reporters were being kept away from the scene.

An autopsy will be performed Sunday, officials from the Allegheny County medical examiner's office confirmed.
