Christopher Reber has been named the new president of Community College of Beaver County, the school said Thursday. His term is set to start July 1.

“Both the Board and the campus community felt that Mr. Reber provided the best mix of skills and experiences to lead CCBC through the next phase of its evolution,” school trustees chairperson Helen Kissick said in a statement following her board’s unanimous vote. “His expertise in higher education administration and his student-focused approach to leadership and learning will guide CCBC moving forward.”

Mr. Reber has a 33-year career to higher education and is currently executive dean of Venango College of Clarion University in Oil City, the chief administrative and academic officer at that campus location.
