Aliquippa police arrested an Ambridge man late Saturday night in connection with a shooting in Linmar Terrace.

Police said Charles Damar Pratt, 28, shot an unidentified 22-year-old man three times, wounding him in the back and shoulder at about 9:30 p.m. The victim was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital, according to Detective Sgt. Steven L. Roberts. The victim's condition was unknown.

Aliquippa officers found Mr. Pratt shortly after the shooting, hiding in a nearby apartment, where he was taken into custody.

A small handgun was discovered in the room where Mr. Pratt was hiding and showed evidence of having been recently fired, Sgt. Roberts said in his report.

Mr. Pratt is in the Beaver County Jail waiting to be arraigned on charges.
