North Fayette has distributed new recycling carts to more than 5,000 homes and will begin accepting recyclables in the blue containers the week of April 21, township officials said tonight.

The public works department has a new truck with an automated arm for picking up and emptying the special carts.

All recyclables may be placed in the same container, including paper, glass, plastic and metal.

Details are available online at www.north-fayette.com/public-works/trash-recycling/recycling.
