South Fayette commissioners Wednesday night approved a $9 million general budget for 2014 that holds the property tax rate at 3.48 mills.

The owner of a home assessed at $100,000 will continue to pay $348 a year.

In addition to the general operating budget, the township board approved a $640,000 capital budget that includes $300,000 for road paving, as well as equipment for public works and police, website upgrades and park improvements.
