The Peters Township Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony today to mark the reopening of Valley Brook Road at Route 19.
The $4.9 million project reconstructed the interchange, with a new ramp from westbound Valley Brook Road to Route 19 including added turning lanes.
Brian Schill, executive director of the Peters Township Chamber of Commerce, said business owners and residents are relieved to see the end of the project, which began in May 2013. "All kinds of businesses on Valley Brook Road have suffered because of this," he said.
The ribbon-cutting is scheduled fro 2:30 p.m., after which PennDOT expects to fully reopen the interchange.
