State Sen. Solobay says he will seek re-election

Pennsylvania Sen. Tim Solobay announced today that he will seek reelection in the state's 46th District.

Mr. Solobay, D-Canonsburg cited his roles in the region’s economic development, job growth, infrastructure improvements in a press release announcing the decision.

Camera Bartolotta, a Monongahela businesswoman, is seeking the Republican nomination in the primary election to face Mr. Solobay in the general election.

The 46th Senatorial District includes Greene County, Washington County, except Peters, and parts of Beaver County, following redistricting last year.

Mr. Solobay served 12 years in the state House of Representatives and was elected to the state Senate in 2010.
