A Washington County man was sentenced Monday to five years and 10 months in prison for possession of child pornography, according to a release from the U.S. Justice Department.
Kevin Zajack, 47, of Charleroi pleaded guilty in March to possession of child pornography as a result of an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
Around May 2011, the investigation discovered that Mr. Zajack possessed digital images and videos on his computer portraying minors engaging in sexually explicit acts, according to information presented Monday in court.
The case was prosecuted by U.S. Attorney Jessica Lieber Smolar. The sentence was imposed by Senior U.S. District Judge Donetta W. Ambrose.
Judge Ambrose also imposed 15 years of probation on Mr. Zajack after the 10-year sentence.mobilehome - breaking - neigh_washington
