Bus carrying elementary school students crashes in Fayette County

A school bus carrying students crashed into a garage this morning in Fayette County, an emergency dispatcher said.

No one was injured in the crash, which was reported shortly 7:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Walter Street in North Union, the dispatcher said.

The students were en route to R.W. Clark Elementary in the Laurel Highlands School District.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash. Pennsylvania State Police, superintendent Jesse T. Wallace III and district transportation director Richard Barron were at the scene.
