A Cecil man has filed a defamation lawsuit claiming that MTL, Mt. Lebanon Magazine, published an article and photo in September 2012 that showed him at a DUI checkpoint and implied he was arrested.

John W. Pinto's suit says the article and photo conveyed to readers that he was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The implication is false, the suit states, as Mr. Pinto was not arrested.

Mr. Pinto is suing Merle Jantz, listed on the municipal website as the magazine's managing editor, and photographer George Mendel.
