Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward in apprehending a suspect in a child abuse case out of North Versailles.

Allegheny County police have an arrest warrant for Kenneth Reeves, 28, of Mount Washington, who faces charges of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.

Police said the charges stem from an April 26 incident in which Mr. Reeves physically assaulted his girlfriend's 3-year-old son, who suffered bruises to his face, forearms, abdomen, groin, back, chest and legs. A doctor at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC told police that some of the injuries may have been caused by a belt buckle.

Mr. Reeves is described as a white man, 5-foot-9, weighing 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 412-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
