Allegheny County police arrested two of three suspects Wednesday night in a Clairton shooting that left two people critically wounded earlier this month.

Dakota Halcomb, 20, of Clairton, surrendered at the Clairton police station. Police received a tip that Taevon Carr, 17, also of Clairton, was staying at the Hi View Gardens housing complex in McKeesport and arrested him there.

Both men were taken to the Allegheny County Jail to await arraignment on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy and firearms violations, Allegheny County homicide Lt. Andrew Schurman said this morning in a press release.

Police are still searching for Parrish Linnen, 22, of Clairton.

The shooting happened about 2 a.m. Aug. 1 in the 300 block of Wylie Avenue, shortly after a 42-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman withdrew money from an ATM. The shooting victims told police three armed men demanded their money and, when they refused to comply, began to shoot them.

Allegheny County police asked anyone with information about the whereabouts of Mr. Linnen, who was charged and then acquitted of killing a woman during a shooting outside a Uni-Mart in November 2007, to call the homicide unit at 412-473-1300. Anyone who spots him should call 911 immediately.
