State police: Man armed with BB gun leaves attempted Walmart robbery empty-handed -- and is arrested

A man carrying a BB gun tried to rob a Walmart in Uniontown about 2 a.m. today, leaving empty-handed after a cashier told him she couldn't open a register unless he bought something.

Pennsylvania State Police found Orlando T. Coleman Jr., of Uniontown, walking with his girlfriend on Route 40 about a mile and a half from the Walmart. He was carrying a black Airsoft handgun, state police said.

State police charged Mr. Coleman is charged with simple assault and criminal attempt to commit an armed robbery.
