Tyler Roth, a recent graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, won the Lt. Terrence Mulkeen Memorial Award. The $6,000 award is given annually in memory of Lt. Terry Mulkeen, a Navy pilot, who was killed in a training accident in 1991. He was a 1977 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, and the award was established by his classmates.

Tyler, son of Leah Roth and Ryan Estabrook, will study and play football at Princeton University.

• The Challenge Program Inc. awarded seniors at Chartiers-Houston High School with checks of $200 for their achievements. Jessica Drilak won for community service. Piper McLaughlin won for STEM academics. Elizabeth Walsh was lauded for academic excellence and Alyssa Cummings for academic improvement. Denard Taylor won the attendance award.

Range Resources and MarkWest Energy Partners are sponsors of the program.

Caitlin Michael of Bethel Park won the Bethel Park Lions George Meyer scholarship. A recent graduate of Bethel Park High School she will use the $4,000 scholarship for chemical engineering studies at Saint Vincent College.
