Here's a sampling of regional summer theaters with productions scheduled into September. Some seasons began earlier this month and others run as late as December (check websites for more information).

Apple Hill Playhouse -- 275 Manor Road, off Route 22 in Delmont;; 724-468-5050. "How the Other Half Lives" (through Wednesday); "The Last Romance" (June 21-June 27); "Sweet Charity" (July 12-July 27); "Spelling Bee" (Aug. 9-19); "A Talent for Murder" (Aug. 30-Sept. 9). Founded in 1956.

Little Lake Theatre -- Route 19, North Strabane;; 724-745-6300. Ken Ludwig, "The Fox on the Fairway" (through June 9); C.P. Taylor, "And a Nightingale Sang" (June 14-30); Horton Foote, "Talking Pictures" (July 5-21); Dale Wasserman, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (July 26-Aug. 11); Joe DiPietro "The Last Romance" (Aug. 16-Sept. 1); Steven Dietz, "Becky's New Car" (Sept. 6-22); adapted by Patrick Barlow, John Buchan's "The 39 Steps" (Sept. 29-Oct. 13). Founded in 1949.

Mountain Playhouse -- Route 985, Jennerstown, Somerset County;; 1-814-629-9201, ext. 290. Matby and Meade, "Ring of Fire," (June19-July 1); Lawrence Ronan "Alone Together" (July 10-July 22); Ken Ludwig, "The Fox on the Fairway" (July 24-Aug. 5); Melinda Gilb & Steve Gunderson, "SUDS: The Rocking '60s Musical Soap Opera" (Aug. 7-19); adapted by Patrick Barlow, based on John Buchan's book, "Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps" (Sept. 18-30). Founded in 1939, it is Pennnsylvania's oldest professional stock theater and among only 12 professional summer stock theaters in the U.S.

Red Barn Players -- 1279 Route 288, Ellwood-Zelienople Road, Franklin Township, Beaver County; 724-773-7150; "The Lady Who Cried Fox" (Friday-June 16); "Tuesdays With Morrie" (July 6-21); "Over the Tavern" (Aug. 10-25); "Suds" (Sept. 14-29). Founded in 1955.

Saint Vincent Theatre -- Performing Arts Center, St. Vincent College, Route 30, Latrobe; 724-537-8900. "Forever Plaid" (through June 9); "Suite Surrender" (June 14-30); "The Foreigner" (July 5-21); "The Chief" (July 26-Aug. 19). Founded 1969.

South Park Theatre -- Near South Park Fairgrounds, Corrigan Drive at Brownsville Road;; 412-831-8552. Linda Escalera Baggs, "Silent Heroes" (through Saturday); Joe DiPietro, "The Last Romance" (next Thursday-June 23); Roderick and Hindman, "The Bikinis" (June 28-July 14); Stephen Dietz, "Shooting Star" (July 19-Aug. 4); Andrew Bergman, "Social Security" (Aug. 9-25); Jerome Bixby, "Man From Earth" (Sept. 1-17). Founded in 1995.
