A Mount Oliver home was completely destroyed and another damaged after a three-alarm fire Saturday afternoon.

Mount Oliver assistant fire chief Ron Lowrey said nearly 10 fire companies responded to 671 Margaret St. about 5:30 p.m., where the fire began before spreading to the back porch of 673.

The home where the fire originated was completely gutted. The other house sustained only minor damage, he said.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal's office is still investigating the cause of the fire, Mr. Lowrey said. There were no injuries.
