National Weather Service issues severe thunderstorm for parts of Pittsburgh

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 5 p.m. Sunday. Affected areas include Connellsville, Dunbar and Seven Springs, according to meteorologist Rihaan Gangat.

Possible hazards include wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-sized hail.

Residents are advised to stay indoors and report any sightings of severe hail damage or downed trees to the National Weather Service at 412-262-1882.
