Closings announced for Memorial Day

* All Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and federal offices and courts are closed today for the Memorial Day holiday.

* Banks and liquor stores also are closed.

* There is no regular mail delivery or collection, but Express Mail is being delivered.

* Garbage collection is being pushed back one day all week, with Friday's regular collection being made on Saturday.

* The Port Authority is operating holiday service. Its Downtown service center is closed, but its customer service line, 412-442-2000, is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

* A Memorial Day parade is being held at 10 a.m., proceeding from the Rite-Aid on Butler Street, Lawrenceville, to and inside Allegheny Cemetery. A picnic hosted by the Allegheny Cemetery Historical Association is being held after the parade near the fountain.

* In Oakland, services will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum.
