Police in New Castle arrested a woman on aggravated assault and other charges after she allegedly attempted to cut off her husband's penis with a box cutter.

According to a criminal complaint, Lisa Jones-Orock, 39, initially told police responding to a domestic dispute at an apartment on Sankey Street Friday night that her husband, Gerald Orock, had cut her with a knife.

Police found Mr. Orock, 56, inside the apartment on the couch with cuts on the crotch of his pants, a long cut on on his left forearm and cuts on his hands.

"His wounds appear defensive and he did state that Lisa was trying to cut his penis off," New Castle police Cpl. Steven Brooks wrote in the complaint.

Ms. Jones-Orock was arrested on an outstanding warrant and later charged with aggravated and simple assault, possession of marijuana and harassment. She remained in the Lawrence County jail Tuesday in lieu of bond. Officers also determined that Ms. Orock-Jones had a protection-from-abuse order against Mr. Orock that prohibited any contact between them and arrested Mr. Orock on a violation of the order.
