A 76-year-old man was killed this afternoon in a four-vehicle crash in Fayette County, state police said.

Kenneth Wildey was turning from Moyer Road onto Route 119 around 3:39 p.m., when a car driven southbound by Leslie Rechenberg, 28, hit his vehicle in the driver's door, state police in Uniontown said.

Mr. Wildey suffered fatal injuries in the crash, police said.

The impact forced his car into a truck driven by Karen Osler, 30, which was stopped in the northbound lane, state police said. A fourth vehicle, driven south by Rudolph Angell Jr., 73, had to steer to avoid the collision, state police said.

Mr. Angell and Ms. Rechenberg were flown by helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., for injuries suffered in the crash. Neither she nor Mr. Wildey were wearing seat belts, police said.

Ms. Osler was unhurt in the crash, police said.
