A motorcyclist was killed in South Huntingdon late Friday when his vehicle slammed into a Jeep that turned into his lane of travel.
State police identified the victim of the 11:40 p.m. crash as Marcus E. Blaine, 41, of West Newton.
According to state police, the following occurred:
Mr. Blaine, who was wearing a motorcycle helmet and other protective gear, was traveling on Motordrome Road when a vehicle driven in the oncoming lane by Timothy c. Grego, 23, of Uniontown turned left in front of him. Mr. Blaine's motorcycle struck the passenger front of Mr. Grego's Jeep and Mr. Blaine was thrown into the air. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A state police accident reconstruction team will investigate the crash to determine who was at fault. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call state police in Belle Vernon at 724-929-6262.breaking - region
