Two Murrysville residents were seriously injured Saturday when the motorcycle they were riding was struck by a pickup truck in Westmoreland County, state police said.

Francis Campbell, 48, and Elizabeth Campbell, 49, were heading west on state Route 286 in Bell about 3:50 p.m. when their motorcycle was hit in the intersection with state Route 819, police said. Both were wearing helmets and were transported by emergency responders, according to police. Further information on their conditions was not available.

Police said the truck was driven by David Greer, 83, of Greensburg. They said Mr. Greer did not see the motorcycle in the intersection.
