Allegheny County police today arrested a man wanted in connection with a killing in McKeesport this weekend, court records show.
Police had obtained an arrest warrant for Jason Webb, 19, of McKeesport on Monday in the Saturday death of 20-year-old Tezjuan Taylor, who was shot about 1:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Fifth Avenue.
A criminal complaint states that a witness told police Mr. Webb "was 'hot' and seemed very upset about something" when he and another man exited the Beer Barrel bar just before the shooting. He headed toward the nearby PNC Bank, as Taylor and another man exited the bar, asking, "Where did they go?"
When they encountered each other near the bank, Mr. Webb pointed a gun toward them and fired, police wrote in a complaint.
Taylor, also of McKeesport, died from a gunshot wound to the head, shoulder and chest, a spokesman at the Allegheny County medical examiner's office said.
Mr. Webb is in the Allegheny County Jail and faces a count of homicide, according to court records. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 30.
Officers from the county homicide unit were not immediately available.
