A counselor at a Boy Scout camp in Lawrence County who was feared drowned was found to be alive and well.

A county emergency dispatcher said the 24-year-old man was reported missing at 12:08 p.m. Sunday from the Camp Agawam, just miles from Interstate 79 and Route 422. At about 2:40 p.m., officials had received word that a signal from the man's cell phone was tracked to an area near North Versailles.

State Police later found the man Sunday afternoon at about 4 p.m., and described his disappearance as a "voluntary walk-off" from the camp.

A dive team that had been searching a small lake on the 265-acre camp and had turned up nothing was cleared.

The camp, part of the Boy Scout's Moraine Trails Council, is located along Frewmill Road between McCormick and Lucas lanes.

State police are not identifying the man, per the request of his camp supervisor.
