The former office manager of a Peters car dealership pleaded guilty Wednesday to embezzling $700,000 from the company.

Deborah Cassini, 61, of New Castle, former manager at Three Rivers Volkswagen, admitted she stole the money between 2006 and 2011.

Ms. Cassini, who lived in Peters at the time, used the money to pay her credit card bills and make payments on her BMW. She also made cash withdrawals and wrote checks to herself drawn from the company accounts, making false entries in the company's books to cover her tracks.

In addition to the theft, she pleaded to filing false tax returns for the years in which she stole funds.

Sentencing was set for November.
