Project to begin today on Route 8 in Richland

Northbound Route 8 will be restricted to single-lane traffic starting today for a $1.65 million intersection improvement project in Richland, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The restriction will be in place between Krebs and Applewood drives from 7 a.m. today around the clock through Aug. 1. Two lanes will remain open southbound.

Left-turn lanes will be added at Ewalt and Cook roads, Route 8 will be widened and concrete barrier will be installed.
