A New Castle man charged with producing child pornography pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court today.

Donald A. Miller, 42, is accused of creating two sets of videos, one on Dec. 22 and the other on Dec. 23, showing a minor engaged in sexual conduct.

Assistant U.S. attorney Carolyn Bloch said that evidence was gleaned through searches, including one of a prior residence.

The case is assigned to U.S. District Judge Cathy Bissoon.

Mr. Miller is being held in the Lawrence County Jail on separate charges of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, and depicting on a computer a sex act with a child.

Online court dockets indicate an offense date of Dec. 30 for those charges, which have been held for court.
