A man shot one of three armed men who forcibly entered his Lawrence County home early Friday morning, state police in New Castle said.
The 25-year-old male who lives in the North Beaver home was treated at a local hospital for cuts and abrasions following the 1:15 a.m. home invasion, police said.
He had been shot at by Richard Javens, 43, of New Castle, who was struck in the chest with a shotgun blast, police said. He was treated locally and then transported to a Pittsburgh hospital.
A warrant issued for his arrest charges him with burglary, robbery, conspiracy, trespassing and gun violations, court records show.
Michael Waters, 23, who lives with Javens, was arrested Friday and charged with conspiracy and a gun violation in the home invasion, state police said. He is in the Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
