Allegheny County police arrested a man in connection with an O’Hara gas station robbery early this morning and are seeking a second suspect.

Austin Williams, 20, and another man walked into the Sunoco gas station on Freeport Road about 5:15 a.m. and showed knives, Lt. Thomas Ianachione said.

The pair stole several containers of cigarettes and then took $200 from the cash register, the lieutenant said. They ran out of the store and south on Freeport Road.

An Aspinwall officer spotted Mr. Williams, who is from either Blawnox or Butler County, near some railroad tracks about 5:50 a.m., Lt. Ianachione said.

He said police have leads on the second suspect but have not yet found him.

One of the robbers, the lieutenant said, wore a towel and a T-shirt over his head while the other had something else covering his face.

No one was injured during the robbery, but the gas station clerk told police he feared for his life, the lieutenant said.

He said police were still completing the arrest paperwork for Mr. Williams this afternoon and thus he did not yet have a full list of the charges Mr. Williams will face.
